Context
NASA's Stennis Space Center anchors a thriving aerospace industry in Hancock County, but its remote, limited-access site keeps thousands of employees and contractors largely unseen by their own community — even as the work generates billions in annual economic impact for South Mississippi.
Approach
Stennis Day in the Bay brought the campus into downtown Bay St. Louis for a single day: appreciation for the workforce and contractors, and hands-on STEM exposure for children, timed to coincide with hometown astronaut Fred Haise's 90th birthday.
